The Fox Theater
If you enjoy concerts, the Fox Theater will be hosting several in the month or March. Umphrey's McGee (March 8), Flogging Molly (March 14) and Jackie Greene (March 21) are just a few of the upcoming shows. Kraftwerk will perform three concerts (March 23, 24 and 25) and Lorde will take the stage for two dates on March 26 and 27. This is quite a line up. Oakland Running Festival 5th Anniversary
If you are a running enthusiast or just someone who likes to root for the home team, this is an event not to be missed. The Oakland Running Fest was voted the Best Marathon in the PAC West in 2013 and there is still time to register. The run will be held on March 23, 2014 and it includes a marathon, half-marathon, four-person relay, 5K and a kids fun run. You can find out more about the festival online at www.oaklandmarathon.com.
