New Years Eve Safety Tips
Whether you’re excited about leaving 2015 or wondering how 2016 will top this year, you’re likely wanting to enter the new year with a celebration! New Years Eve brings plenty of parties and a couple (or a few) drinks!
Bring in the new year without regrets or leaving safety behind, use these tips!
- Organize Transport: Never drink and drive! If you’re going to be drinking, secure a designated driver or aim to book a taxi or request a rideshare with people that you know. Do this organizing before the party so that you aren’t left stranded or getting behind the wheel drunk.
- Safety in Numbers: Everything is better with friends anyway! Whether it’s just walking from your car into the party or driving to the destination, try to travel in a group!
- Fuel Up: Never drink alcohol on an empty stomach! Not only is this risky, but it can mean that you snack on candy or appetizers at the party.
- Drinking: If you’re going to drink, be responsible! Keep an eye on your friends in case they drink too much and suffer from alcohol poisoning.
- Have fun!
While some of us have big plans of attending an elite NYE party, others plan on relaxing at home with friends. Whatever your plans, safety should never be forgotten or left behind. After all, the Emergency Room is not the best way to ring in 2016!
