That RV has been sitting around all winter, but weather will be improving before you know it and you’ll be ready to get back on the road. These tips will help you prepare your RV for spring travel.
- Clean. Dust off all surfaces, clean out the fridge and open the windows. Let the RV air out. Remove pest control devices and poisons you may have placed in the RV last fall.
- Check under the hood. Connect the battery, change the oil, check the spark plugs, check the cooling system. Look at all hoses and lines for leaks. If you’re not comfortable doing this yourself, have a mechanic look at it.
- Perform a tire inspection. Check the tires for cracks, make sure that the tire pressure is optimal.
- Check your insurance coverage. Dust off that policy and give it a look over. Make sure that your coverage still meets your needs.
