Can’t Miss Insurance for Your College Student
It is never too early to be prepared for winter weather. The Oakland Public Works Agency is being proactive and so should you. There are ways you can protect your property from any water damage and here is a list to help you.
- Clean gutters, down spouts, and check your drainage system to make sure it is clear of debris.
- Make sure the curb in front of your house is clear of twigs, trash, and leaves.
- Keep leaves, lawn clippings, and trash away from storm drains.
- Have your leaves, lawn and tree trimmings ready for weekly pick-up.
- If you live by a creek or stream, clean it so the water can flow easily.
- Park your vehicle away from storm drains.
- If you see flooding issues, report them to the Public Works Call Center. The number is 510-615-5566.
