Can you believe it? May is already just around the corner, bringing us onto the cusp of the summer season and welcoming in the fun, relaxing warmer months. So you can make the most of the coming season, there are some great local events offering fun for the whole family. Mark your calendar to be a part of these exciting upcoming, regularly occurring festivities this summer.
- Free Museum Admission: Each first Sunday of the month, you can get free admission to the Oakland Museum of California. This standout museum brings together history, art, and natural science in order to bring you into the amazing stories of our great state and the people who have made it what it is today. This 30,000 square foot location is the only museum that has a focus solely on the history and art of California, so it offers a great opportunity to learn about your roots.
- East Bay Bike Party: This monthly celebration is designed for riders of all kinds of bikes, levels of experience, and ages. On the second Friday of each month, around 400 bikers meet at the East Bay BART station at 7:30 p.m. to ride and play together. Riders are encouraged to dress up in accordance with each month’s theme. May’s theme has not yet been released, but you can find that information updated here before each month’s ride.
